The Old Grey Mares..

Are coming back. The IDF has asked the older men and women of the Israel Defense Forces to come back and talk to the younger force members.
Does anyone remember when the IDF was the most feared force in the world ? These men and women took no trash from anyone . They did what they had to do to keep their country and land. Now that the younger men and women are in charge it seems like it has gone from Ice cream to Dog Shit. The younger IDF is ok if you don't have to get nasty and guerrilla on their asses. The younger people just don't have the heart for it. It takes a lot of heart and a strong mind to do what has to be done to others before it is done to you. The other guys have what it takes and prove it everyday. The will strap on a bomb and blow your ass up in a heart beat. They will take a live person and rip them apart without a second thought. They can and will do what has to be done to make life as bad for you as they can.
No one likes this kind of war. It is called Guerrilla warfare. It is the last thing you would wish on your worst enemy. If you think of the person or the people that you dislike in this world you would not want them to go through this.
Conventional wars like some in the past are won on the battlefield. When one Army can't stop another on the field of battle the war is over and the advancing Army wins. This is where it gets crazy. The war is over people are happy and everyone goes home to see family and friends. The winning Army leaves behind a small force , just to look after things, hey things have to be run right. The conventional war is over. The guerrilla war begins when the locals Army is defeated. The whole point is to kill and destroy as many of your guest as you can. You do this in as many ways as you can. Civilians, women,children,old people and the occupier pay a heavy price . This is what happened to the French in Algeria,the Israelis in South Lebanon and us in Vietnam. The whole idea is to make the bad guys as sick of you and having their people killed that they will just go home.Both sides have to kill, torture and terrorize as many local people as they can. The local people have to out crazy the occupier. The sick part is the crazier people win.The local people care more about their country than the other guys do so they leave. You put your flag back up and go about your business living your life and loving what is left of your family. This is the part that you don't want to tell your grandkids about. It is bad. It is nasty and it is done everyday.
I can go in to more detail, however I will not . Some of my pals here already think I am a war lover and crazy. For me to go on would only make them think I was crazier. Like I read on my pal Dawns blog this all comes down to land. Not religion, not one nation not liking another . Land. Land, Land that is the key to it all.
