Aunt Anna is the lady in the red dress. This photo was taken on my last trip to Ukraina. In the photo with her is our Babushka,"her sister". Her daughter Maryanna in blue our Yana and Anna's husband Ivan. These are all great people and I am glad to be in their family. I had never met Anna before my last trip. She welcomed me in her home, cooked a great meal and we spoke for a couple of hours. She was very nice and it was a very cold afternoon with rain . The food and company was as warm as you could ever expect. We spoke of her family and friends. She was very happy that Maryna and the kids liked the US and I invited her and her family to visit anytime. To my delight she liked that idea and said she would be very happy to visit the US and see her niece and where we lived.
Maryna received a phone call Saturday morning . Aunt Anna had died Friday night. We have lost a good person that we all will miss. Ivan has lost the love of his life , Maryanna has lost her mother, our sweet Babushka has lost her sister and the world has lost one of the nicest people that I have ever met. God will be good to Anna because Anna was so good to the world and all the people around her.
